Time Management



Discipline, that’s the adjective to describe my time management and myself. My time robbers have always been people that I felt that were not accomplishing anything. There was a time when too many orbited around me like a moon and distracted me a lot. With the years I have learned to be assertive and say “no”. Lately, I don´t have too many friends, I only have a few who really matter to me. Now when I meet new people I don´t get carried away with nonsense.

Roles In Life



 


Today my biggest role and challenge is to be a mother and a father, because even before my divorce, my ex-former husband was an absent father. My children are just reaching that phase where they will become young independent adults, and of course they will find their own ghosts in their lives. I know my work it is not over yet. Everything is not perfect but I have to say that I am happy in how things turned out for the three of us.


About my professional life, I know I can improve it a lot. For a long time I was in a secondary place but now that my kids are growing I will have the opportunity to develop all my skills and put them to work. I am very positive and I know that wonderful things are waiting for me around the corner. The best of it all is that I have had very clear my roles in life, first to be a mother, second to be a professional. Looking at my kids, I know I made the right choice.

What Matters To Me



The most important thing for me is my family. I have accomplished a lot at this point in my life like a woman, as a mother, as a professional, as a student and as a friend. Some of my dreams and goals are to be able to grow in my spiritual life, to enjoy more the teen years of my children and to have a quiet life some place in the woods away from the noise of the city. I have to admit that sometimes I am tempted to get involved again with the fast paced work of a big corporation. Just the idea of it is pure adrenaline.
 
In this moment what really makes me feel happy is to see my son and daughter blooming in such a beautiful way. I am so proud of both of them, they are kind, caring and good children. They are working very hard to pursue their dreams, they are warriors.

My biggest motivation is to be alive every single day; I am a very humble person who believes in God. I know every new day is an opportunity to do things a better way, it is a new chance to reinvent myself to be happy with my life.

Being A Customer: A Personal Experience



Last week in a very well know hospital. My daughter needed an x-ray for her chest.


There were 3 people talking in the reception area, when I asked for the service, one of them turned around half way and said: “Go at the end of the corridor in the right door and somebody will take care of you.” Twenty minutes later nobody showed up, so I went back to the reception. Everybody was gone, and the secretary looked at me like it was the first time I asked for the service, she then made a phone call. They never explained in advance how the radiologist only worked certain days in their hospital. I knew about it until it was too late.




Were I satisfied with the result?

Absolutely not, I would never go back.

Would I have handled the situation the same way?

No.

- I would have approached the patient and asked what they needed.

- I would have walked the patient to the area and made sure somebody was there to provide the service.

- I would have explained to the patient the two types of x-rays the hospital handled, the price, the time to be delivered, to see which one would suit better the patient needs.

- After, I would have asked the patient if everything went all right.

- At the end I would have explained to the patient the protocol to pay for the service.

Company Service Standard





Q: What are some of them?

A:  1. The client should always decide when is the best time to see a property, even if it is a weekend or a holiday.

2. We make sure to send the client a map so they can meet us.

3. We take phone calls 24/7.

4. Always provide transportation, so we have the opportunity to talk with the potential client.

5. Make sure the properties in sale are always clean and in good shape.

6. We try to have the potential client see at least 3 properties with the features that they are looking for. 




Q: Can they be improved?

A: Always, we try to improve the service person to person, practice patience all the time, because selling a house takes longer as a customer service agent.

Q: Do I have any personal suggestions?

We have to work a little bit more in trusting people who are selling their homes; they don’t like to leave the keys all the time. But I think it is a cultural matter.
